Gillian Marsollier has been a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia since 2001, and an instructor of acupuncture for 20+ years. After completing a 4-year Masters Program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, she began her teaching career in Newfoundland. There she wrote the bulk of the curriculum for a 3-year acupuncture program and served as the Acupuncture Program Director. Gillian was then transferred to Halifax, where she successfully gained approval by the Board of Education in Nova Scotia for an acupuncture program. In addition to teaching, she practiced at a very successful multi-faceted alternative treatment centre while residing on the East Coast. In 2008 Gillian went to Nepal to teach acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities at a medical facility. They are still using the modalities to this day to treat the locals from the Himalayan hills. For the last 5 years, Gillian has been pursuing the media side of acupuncture and natural healing through the creation of LIFT Education Academy. Through this online education platform, she has created many popular courses including bootcamps that have become the national gold standard for preparation for TCM registration exams.
Struggling with sleep? Chinese dietary therapy offers a personalized approach to insomnia that goes beyond generic advice. In this webinar, you’ll discover how Traditional Chinese Medicine identifies four distinct patterns of sleep disruption—and how specific foods can address the root cause of YOUR particular sleep challenge.
Whether you struggle to fall asleep, wake up throughout the night, experience restless dreams, or find yourself wide awake at 4am, you’ll learn exactly which foods are sabotaging your sleep and which ones can restore balance. You’ll walk away with practical (and very simple) recipes, clear dietary guidelines, and lifestyle adjustments tailored to your specific insomnia pattern.
This webinar is about understanding what your TCM pattern of imbalance is, and using the wisdom of Chinese medicine to sleep soundly again.
“Insomnia is either quite easy to treat, or it can be somewhat recalcitrant with a lot of effort on all fronts to make progress. The key for helping insomnia is consistency of efforts including discipline with the proper foods, herbs, and routines. Remember that what you take out food-wise is much more important than what you add in!”
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Identify which of the four main TCM insomnia patterns match their sleep disturbance and understand the underlying TCM organ system imbalances causing their specific symptoms.
2. Eliminate foods that worsen their particular insomnia type by recognizing which dietary choices trigger their pattern of sleep disruption.
3. Incorporate therapeutic foods into daily meals, or on their own, that specifically address their insomnia pattern and restore balance to affected TCM organ systems.
4. Prepare simple, practical, and tailored recipes designed to improve sleep quality based on Chinese dietary therapy principles.
5. Apply lifestyle modifications aligned with TCM wisdom that complement dietary changes and support their body’s sleep cycles.
6. Recognize the early warning signs of sleep imbalance according to TCM principles and adjust their diet proactively before insomnia becomes chronic.
