I have begun making tinctures and was wondering…
Can I dilute an alcohol based tincture with water to reduce the alcohol content? I find that it is quite strong from an alcohol perspective so is it possible for example to make a 1:2 preparation and then dilute it to 1:3 with water?
Also, when making glycerine extracts, does the water need to be distilled or can I use filtered water and boil it to sterilize it? I believe the mountain rose herbal blog article says to use distilled water.
