Hi Michele, that’s a great question. Most glass packaging bottles come from China. I recommend washing them well before putting your medicine into them.
The lifespan of tinctures depends on the percentage of alcohol and how they are stored. The general rule is 1-3 years. Some herbalists like to re-fresh their stock every year but many tinctures will still be good for longer than that. The higher percentage the of alcohol, the better they are preserved. Further, storing them in dark glass and away from heat will also help to keep them fresh and potent for longer.
