Reply To: Introduce Yourself!
Hi everyone! My name is Jess and I’ve just joined this program. I’ve loved reading your introductions and I’m excited to be a part of this kindred community. I live in Kingston, Ontario and currently work at Queen’s University, but my fascination with the natural and spiritual worlds has brought me here. Similar to Sarah, I recently read Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and was inspired to deepen my understanding of the reciprocal relationship between humans and the natural world. I’m hoping to cultivate my own close connection with plants and animals and share that with others in some way. I’m not quite sure what that will look like yet, but being a part of this program definitely feels like the right first step! Apart from learning about nature, I also love to travel and learn from different cultures, as well hike/kayak/cycle whenever I can, and work on silversmithing. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!
