Thanks so much Benna. Sorry, I only just saw this now. The notification of the reply went into my junk folder. I will sadly be losing access to the discussion board in a couple of weeks when the 9 mo for my home herbalism course runs out, so if it’s after the 19th, I wouldn’t get it – though I’m sure others on the thread would find it handy at some point.

I tried another cream from my local herbal store. I couldn’t get as much weight:volume of cream:oil as the much more expensive one at double the cost, but it did work. I ended up with about a 2:1 ratio of cream:oil. Though that did get me wondering about what’s realistic to still get a therapeutic amount of oil when applying it? In the course, for his healing cream, David has 25g of cream to 20 ml of oil (not counting the EO), so almost 1:1. Is a 1:1 realistic in most cases or is David’s recipe just with a particularly good cream?
