One of the indications of HT4, according to Deadman, is loss of voice. He mentions this is due to injury of the Heart, Spleen and Liver due to overthinking, worry, and anxiety. Similarly, Deadman indicates that TE6 is an important point for sudden loss of voice.

LU8 is not indicated for voice in Deadman. Instead, it is used for “cough and dyspneoa, chills and fever,” and is infrequently used altogether. PC5 is mentioned as having an indication of loss of voice, but it is mentioned only once. PC5 is used moreso to transform Phlegm. Regardless, only one out of two isn’t as good as two out of two!

Quite honestly, I would view this question as a teaching question. If you didn’t know that those two Jing-River points were empirical points for sudden loss of voice, that’s okay. Now you do. And you’ll study them and remember them.
