Why the correct answer is HT 4 (Lingdao), TE 6 (Zhigou) rather than LU 8 (Jingqu), PC 5 (Jianshi). Since LU8 (Jingqu) is the lung jing-river point, it governs the throat and voice, so it is directly indicated for acute loss of voice or sudden hoarseness. PC 5 (Jianshi) – Jing-River point of the Pericardium channel. Helps to clear Heat, open the chest, calm the mind, and is useful for sudden loss of voice or speech issues (e.g., post-stroke).
