Hi! I had a question on one of the topics in this course segment. When mentioning the post war technology being used in modern agriculture, it was clear that example/point 1 and 2 could be detrimental to health(neuro toxin for human turned into neurotoxin for insects and nitrogen for explosives now nitrogen for fertilizer in munition factory). but when example/point 3 was mentioned about low flying aircraft for defoliants being used now for herbicide weed control, I think im missing how that use of post war technology is detrimental to health? yes herbicide, in and of itself is detrimental but the use of low flying planes for even distribution of this chemical, isn’t that a benefit? Im confused why this was brought up as the third point in this order? was it just an example of post war tech now being used? because the previous two examples show how post war tech in and of itself had a direct impact on being detrimental to our health. i hope you guys get what i mean haha, i know what herbicide is, that’s not what my question is.
