Hi Cody!
This kind of question is difficult to answer without seeing you in person and speaking with you longer. There are so many small nuances that go into figuring out one’s main element (or two). You will see all of the elements in yourself as they all exist within everyone. One can be deficient and excess in an element in different areas of their life.
My guess is that your main element is Wood (towards the Yin side and perhaps a bit deficient) from the information you gave (not trusting yourself lends to self-esteem and certainly the creativity aspect but not doing it enough). Also, body shape is very general and tends to apply, but certainly not always. It’s not the most important factor to keep in mind.
It is important that you don’t pigeon-hole yourself with an element, rather think of it as a tendency that can really lead to empowerment when you can embrace your natural strengths and weaknesses.
A helpful test here would be for you to throw yourself into a very creative project and see what happens. Does it completely invigorate you and build your confidence? Does it make you feel alive and flowing/happy? If it feels like it is what drives you, then you certainly might be dominant Wood!
Gillian helped out with answering this question, so please keep in mind future Virtual Classes with her and create a list of questions you might have about TCM that she can answer directly!
I hope this all makes sense. 🙂
