Thank you for your detailed response, Benna. I was also wondering about using Everclear grain alcohol which is 190 % proof and 95% alcohol by volume. Or is this too strong?
If I harvest red clover as you suggested, should I let it “wilt” for a few hours and the little critters walk away from the flower heads sitting on a window screen, or wash them in water to remove the tiny bugs? And tincture within 2 hours, which I understood is the goal with fresh herb?
Also, when you say to add water, do you mean tap water? (which for me, is well water). I was thinking of tincturing 100g and blending with the grain alcohol in a blender to about a 1:4 ratio so that I cover the clover completely.
