Hi Fara,

I would suggest leaving the flowers, they are great for pollinators and won’t take away form the roots. You would wait until the fall or early next spring to harvest them.

You could harvest some of the roots this fall if you think that the plant is big and hardy enough to withstand removal of some roots via subdivision.
