Hi Benna, thank you. Yes, I followed the recipe and instructions exactly, and I have to say for the first few weeks it looked great. I used the water/hydrosol less, as I wanted it to be a bit cream-like as opposed to lotion. The emulsifier I used is “Self Emulsifying Wax N (SLS Free)”, and I’m thinking if it was my emulsifier, wouldn’t the water separate and not the oil? I don’t know, I guess it’s one of those things that could have any number of reasons and is hard to pinpoint.
Anyway, there isn’t much left and I’m using it to the end. 🙂 I was just curious as to the reasons for splitting so that next time I can rectify/avoid it. I will make it again in a few weeks to see how it goes.
