Did you follow the recipe exactly? There doesn’t seem to be much room for change in lotions really. The main culprit for early splitting is that there is little too much water for the product or there needs to be more emulsifier. What emulsifier did you use? The type will affect the amount that is needed. Also using a blender may help to bring this back together for a time.
I’ve been looking at different online tutorials and forums, and there’s so much to learn about tweaking your recipe so that it’s just right.
