The key here is that the epistaxis is “profuse”. There is no doubt that the answer you chose would be perfect for once the bleeding is under control. For the moment, the bleeding needs to stop ASAP. Correct that LU6 will help that being the Yin Xi-Cleft to stop bleeding, however, LR2 (note the wiry pulse) will help clear the heat causing a severe bleed, and it is also the child (fire) point of the LR. This will help to reduce heat so that the heat stops creating reckless blood leaving the vessels (the most common reason for profuse epistaxis is Liver Heat). Along with LU6, this should stop or slow the bleeding. Once that is stopped, then you can move on to the tx that you chose. Does this help?
