My name is Michelle Nimchuk and I am a wife and a mother of 4 children, aged 24, 22, 13 and 11. We live in the Southern Interior of the province on an acre along with ducks, chickens, and pigs. I am an elementary school teacher by training and work as an administrator. I am half way through a Master’s degree in Christian counseling which I need to pick up again but thought I would take the Home Herbalist online program to prep myself for the demands of online courses and see if I have the stamina to pick up where I left off in my Master’s degree.
I have spent 30 years using homeopathic and herbal remedies, and with the current state of food insecurity and overreach of the government I am hoping to refine my skills in herbal remedies and have medicine growing in my garden and stored in my pantry. In my large garden, I have approx. 30 different medicinal herbs growing, which I have harvested and I’ve started to put up tinctures.
I have found the degree of information suppression on social media and search engines alarming. In the past 3 years, I’ve found if difficult to find trusted homeopathy/herbal remedies websites due to government and media mogul overreach. I have chosen to purchase physical books and reference information so that I have physical copies of the information that I need to heal my family. This course will increase my skills and knowledge in this realm of healing.
