Hello again,

The knowledge from this course has inspired me to brainstorm on so many herbal remedies and the questions are firing up also.

I have a Family member with severe asthma and after learning bits from different lessons throughout the program I am considering buying a nebulizer that holds your own medicine and making an infused elecampane with hyssop to start and see if that herbal steaming will help her lungs. She doesn’t have a medical plan and isn’t able to afford the pharmaceutical asthma puffers regularly.
I believe I am treading in risky waters so I would use caution first by asking what your thoughts are on this method?
I was also thinking of making an Elecampane, Hyssop rub for her chest. I have given her some herbal honey lozenges already to take each day to build up her immunity and recommended the herbal honey oxymel recipe to take weekly to do the same.
I can also make the elderberry syrup for her and I am staying away from comfrey salve as it may do the reverse for her congested and scared lungs and may heal over them too much and cause further constriction? I will brainstorm on the other herb options, and appreciate any of your expertise and experiences or recipes with asthma conditions. I think the steroid puffers have given her other health problems unfortunately so I’ll work with her on one thing at a time. Let me know if I’m on the right track and if you have any recipes or personal experiences that worked for your patients.
