Thanks Benna! I made some rose infused oil (using dried rose)- warm water bath in the crock pot. I covered it with muslin, but left the lid off of the crock pot (as I thought in a previous video/course Amanda mentioned to not put the lid on a crock pot due to concern for water getting into your product). I let it sit on warm for 31 hrs.
I think it turned out okay.
Its just not as aromatic as I thought it would be. Is this normal? Or is this because I left the lid off of crock pot? Maybe it didn’t steep for long enough?
As a follow up question- for aromatic herbs- is the method I used & the double boiler method not really recommended (as the volatile aromatic oils will escape)?
