Hi everyone!
I live in Mission, BC and will finish my bachelor of physical geography this year before starting grad studies in the Nordics so I can be an environmental scientist and explore my Northern European heritage. I am interested in food sustainability, crafting and building my connection with nature.
Currently, I’m researching salmonberry habitat suitability to help identify sites for Native berry gardens. I love gardening, and hiking, and have been using medicinal teas for many years (red raspberry leaf or lemon balm for PMS being my favourite). The women on my mom’s side have been herbalists for many generations, but most knowledge stopped being passed down after WWII and immigration to Canada. I am hoping to regain a lot of that wisdom and more related to the west coast through this program.
To Meyer-Briggs fans, I am an INTJ, so having some more arts/humanities/spiritual perspectives added to my introverted science-based outlook on life will be good to add to my science studies.
