Hello everyone,
I plan on doing my ‘homework’ for the Food Ecology & Sustainability module very soon. When we mention a ‘food initiative’ what is it exactly? I just want to make sure that the place I will be volunteering at is ok for the assignment. I choosed a ‘Ferme Écoresponsable’ (eco-friendly farm) that basically embodies everthing we learnt in the module. They use zero pesticides, herbicides and no GMOs. Soil health is very important to them. They also raise animals well (calf stays with their mother for 10 months) etc… They serve the local population and also sell their products to local chefs and restaurants.
