Hi,

Just a question in regards to diagnosing the finger veins on children. In the guidebook it states that red veins relate to heat while blue relate to cold. But in my notes from school I have the following breakdown:

i. Fine & Light: blood def
ii. Pronounced & Dark: food retention, qi or blood stasis
iii. Fresh Red: external excessive cold
iv. Purple-Red: external or internal excessive heat
v. Green: pain, panic or fear
vi. Light or Pale Red: deficient cold
vii. Light or Pale Yellow: inner wind due to spleen deficiency
viii. Light or Pale Purple: deficient heat
