Hi Gina,
I’m not completely sure what you are asking for but is it that you would like an example of an herbal infused oil that you can take internally?
Technically you can take any herbal infused oil internally as long as the oil and the herb are safe for internal use. Some oils and herbs safe for internal use would be olive, avocado, ghee, coconut & calendula, rosemary, sage, thyme, etc. Obviously some herbs will taste better in oil than others and some herbs are better extracted with other methods rather than oil due to the desired phytochemicals, but the process would be the same for the most part. You may wish to do a cold or lightly warm extraction over the hot extraction method due to low smoke points in some of the oils. I think internal oils are not often discussed because it can be hard to consume enough infused oil to be medicinally active.
I just took a quick look online for elderberry gummies and found a few recipes. Here is a link for one that sounds good, https://www.growforagecookferment.com/elderberry-gummies/#recipe . They all seem very straight forward once you have the elderberry syrup, the one above has juice, but you could also just use water in it’s place. I don’t personally have a favourite, as that is something I have yet to do! I hope you enjoy making them, such a fun and yummy way to work with elderberries!
Warmly,
Benna
