Hello!

On the first practice exam, there is a question that asks:”Each of the following Urinary Bladder meridian points should be punctured obliquely EXCEPT” (I can’t tell you the question number, because the numbers are all covered by little circles for some reason.)
and it says the answer is BL22: “BL 22 (Sanjiaoshu) is the answer.BL 22 (Sanjiaoshu) is located 1.5 cun lateral to GV 5 (Xuanshu) (at the lower border of the spinous process of the 1st lumbar vertebra).  Therefore, it may be punctured perpendicularly.”

However, this directly contradicts the answer to a question on a previous quiz (*QUIZ* Acupuncture Points & Meridians, question 10)which says BL points above BL24 should be needled obliquely. Deadman also says oblique or perp oblique insertion for BL22.

Just wanted to let you know about this discrepancy.

Thanks,
Jenny
