In her early twenties, Kylie immersed herself in a lineage of medical qigong where she trained with her teacher at her home or in the woods, and offered by-donation clinics and meditations around the city of Vancouver. During this time, she was managing a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic. Every day she saw patients come into the clinic, receive an acupuncture treatment, then leave with a renewed vigour of body and spirit. She began to fall in love with Chinese medicine while watching the physical, mental, and emotional changes that the medicine had on patients of the clinic. This experience stoked a burning desire to continue her studies of medical qigong by pursuing formal training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She graduated with summa cum laude honours from the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine diploma program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, B.C. Today she is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.

“Sadly, when I first started practice a couple of decades ago, I didn’t work in a clinic that had Chinese herbs so I have barely used them for all of my years of practice. I took this course to refresh my memory in herbs, and wow, I am so happy that I chose to do this. It has stoked my passion for TCM and I am excited to use herbs in clinic again!”
