Phil Hurrle | Holistic Coach

Phil Hurrle is a Holistic Coach who has studied throughout the world with many distinguished teachers, doctors, and therapists in order to assemble methods and techniques that have the greatest impact on his clients’ health and happiness.  He was fortunate enough to train and teach at a highly successful alternative medical clinic in India that specializes in the holistic treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. He has also trained in many practices including Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashtanga yoga, myofascial and psoas release, lymphatic drainage, and various meditation and breathwork techniques.  After teaching throughout the United States and in locations around the world including Costa Rica, Mexico, India, he now resides and teaches at a retreat centre in Bali. His passion is supporting people who suffer from chronic pain, systemic tension, and stress, as well as assisting athletes of all kinds optimize their performance. Through consistent application of direct and effective practices, he helps people realign, rebalance, and restore their mobility, alignment, energy, confidence, and overall foundational health in order to help them harness the energy that is already inside of them in order to live a more enjoyable and healthier life.

Course description

This course will help you connect with yourself on fundamental, foundational levels regarding body alignment, and inner connection. This mobility course uses proven, direct methods and is extremely effective for people of most age groups and abilities who are looking to relieve chronic pain, tightness, tension, soreness, stress, and physical compensations that result in poor movement patterns and dysfunctional posture. This practice is also fantastic for people who just haven’t moved in some time and is a game changer for athletes of all kinds looking to increase their performance, or to help prevent injury.

This course is designed to assist in reconnecting and realigning the entire body. This is achieved by:

  • Assisting in aligning soft tissues—muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves.
  • Stretching and strengthening not just the surface muscles, but the deepest foundational muscles and other soft tissues that are neglected with most other programs.
  • Rehydrating previously blocked and compromised regions of the body with renewed blood flow.
  • Installing proper breathing patterns that are synchronized with each movement.

The routines in this course are designed to be done in the order presented, first to warm-up the body, and second, to reduce the possibility of injury. They’re also designed to be approachable enough to be done multiple times a week.

Upon completion of this course, you will have the ability to:

  • Understand the dos and don’ts of this mobility training.
  • Know the precise posture for the routines and how to ‘stack’ the body from head to toe to ensure that you’re working in safe positions with proper alignment, and then instituting correct movement patterns from this foundation.
  • Know how to stretch and strengthen the very deep, foundational muscles and other soft tissues that are so often overlooked in many exercise programs.
  • Optimize breathing patterns so you will be moving in tandem with your breath, be able to use it to assist with each exercise, as well as bring your body back to a more balanced state in moments of physical or mental stress.
  • Use sequences designed for each region of the body, and then combine these sequences. The first is a beginner routine and the next a bit more advanced, so you know exactly how to implement these movements into your daily exercise regimen.
