Dr. Allan Fradsham, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Dr. Allan Fradsham holds a degree as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from The Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences.
Dr. Fradsham runs a full general practice treating most disorders but has a special interest in physical injury and pain disorders and stroke recovery. He was one of the primary instructors at the International Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ottawa Ontario until he moved to Alberta. He is currently instructing at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has supervised acupuncture treatments at the Calgary Drop In Centre for the homeless in Calgary. He is the principal investigator in a current study on the use of acupuncture in stroke recovery.
Dr. Fradsham mainly uses distal needling techniques below the elbow and knee, which allow him to treat painful areas and test range of motion during the treatment.
